WELCOME
The 'Tehakatu'u community' is one of the main tribal communities on Rennell Island in the Rennell Bellona province. The Tehakatu'u community has a population of more than hundren people, spread over five villages named; Avatai, Tesauma, Magino, Matamoana and Nukumatangi in Lughu bay.

Our Mission:
To contribute towards the improvement of the lives of the Tehakatu’u people through sustainable integrated community based development programmes primarily focused on livelihoods, empowerment, conservation, food security, health and education.

NEWS:
Great news just in from OceansWatch Solomon Islands director Willie Sau Kaitu'u "The Rennell Bellona provincial Executive agreed in their meeting today, to recognize the Marine Protected Area on Rennell Island. Their letter should be made available to us by Monday 10 June."
